For the first time, scientists mapped in high-resolution a critical area of the seafloor in front of the glacier that gives them a window into how fast Thwaites retreated and moved in the past.

New methodology predicts coronavirus and other infectious disease threats to wildlife
A University of South Florida assistant professor, Diego Santiago-Alarcon, helped develop a methodology that will predict disease transmission from wildlife to humans, from one wildlife species to another and determine who is at risk of infection.
